Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age 14. As well as BJJ classes She also took classes in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. In the age of 18, she made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Aspen began her career in 2015, signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fc 16 marked her first fight as a bantamweight. She beat Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to defeat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd failed to make weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. Ladd was victorious in the unanimous decision after some great exchanges between the two fighters, received her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd after 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. Following a brief break her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. For a replacement last minute to her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
